my student, a very clever boy found this great thing in Word;

if you have any chinese text and want it in Pinyin, you can copy and paste that text in a word document, mark your text, then click on Format ( Sorry, i have German computers at home), then choose the Asian layout, then go right to phonetische Leitzeichen. try it out yourself.

Mmmm... Possibly, but who needs it? If you don't know the reading, but it's already in the text, you can copy the hanzi and paste it into any dictionary you have... The dictionary will show not only the PinYin, but also the translation of the character.
