How do I get married in China?
Some friend wants to know how the official wedding works in China?
here I get some information:
first of all, more than half of cross-cultural ( here Chinese-German) marriages fail so pls. do give this step a very careful thought.
secondly, you will need to visit the local Marriage Bureau 涉外婚姻登记所 where your prospective partner’s hukou 户口(residence authority) is registered.The officials will let you show your passport, residence permit tourist visa and a notarized certificate of “no impediment” to marriage – this is clearly a “must”. The latter can usually be obtained from your Embassy/Consulate. The actual marriage must take place in the city where your partner’s hukou is registered. A medical examination 体检is also required.
